The Museum

In the meantime the first thing to do, of course, is to restore and rebuild some of the community lots. There's been a lot of redecorating and refurbishing going on.

The museum was the first building to be completed on the inside as well as the outside.

Unfortunately all the art made by such notable ancestors as Elden Adams and Samantha Adams Thao have all gone missing in the various natural disasters. But the museum does have a large collection of simified famous art.

In the basement there are some rooms dedicated to ancient civilisations. There's a stone-age miniature settlement as well as a room filled with treasures from Egypt.
(The third room has some oriental art, which is on loan. They're still trying to acquire some kind of permanent collection for that space.)

On the top floor there's a furniture exhibtion, featuring CHAIRS. There are chairs from various places as well as various historical periods - most of them with art and/or other fitting deco.

And of course the museum has a shop. And a cafe.

Judith Adams runs the cafe. She was bored now that she's retired, and she enjoys chatting to the visitors.
The temporary shopgirl left the island pretty soon. She was replaced by Felicity LaRue, whose brother is the town's mailman.

The LaRue family are all relatives of Travelling Joe and Miss Lucille, who are Sims 1 characters made for Sims 3 by Fribud at TSR.
