Meteors - and other ways to cause a fire

There's been a storm of meteors in town lately. The scientists at the lab don't quite know what to make of it, so Aaron Wilson, the local priest, has been saying that the Great Builder is upset at the town's loose morals (whatever that means) and is seeking to punish the inhabitants of Winchester.

Actually, of course, the Great Builder doesn't really punish or reward. She just looks down on her pixel creations and tries out a few things that may or may not be amusing. Like a meteor-related mod.

Of course all this playing around didn't end well. Especially not for the Younger family...

Colette and Matthew were out stargazing when the sky went dark and the stars disappeared.

Some neighbours came running to see what was going on.

However, neither Colette nor Matthew got out of the way in time. (Mostly because the Builder was distracted by the neighbours, actually.)

The Younger kids are now orphans. They moved in with their mother's brother Julien Bernard and his wife Ginny. Since the deaths of Harmony and Yves, they do have an extra bedroom. In fact, they now have two extra rooms, as Julien agreed to move his grand piano to the living room so Darrin can have his own room.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in town the former MuMacker family - nowjust plain Mack - had their fifth child. She's called Hazel, and has suspiciously dark hair. Everyone else in the family is blond or redhead.
I don't generally change genetics on Sims, but I'm considering making an exception.

Billy Bob Dickson, the burglar, attended the summer festival. Of course he was in a clever disguise, to make sure nobody recognised him.

(Billy Bob Dickson, like most NPC burglars, isn't the sharpest tool in the box.)

The schoolhouse had to be overhauled again. I seem to remember doing it before, but the version I had stuck in my CAW world was the old one.

The schoolhouse has two rabbithole rugs in the basement - I hope it's enough to prevent congestion.

Nothing interesting going on at the Adams residence. Yue Xiulan is still more fascinated with cows than with her own job as an inventor.

The Bernard families are doing fine. Raphael is getting acquainted with all the local celebrities, to gain star power as an actor.

Jason Bingsly was a bit under the weather, though.

The Bernard family moved into the house that used to belong to Mena Mendez. (Yes, the same Mena Mendez who murdered Raphael's father. In fact, this is the house he was murdered in!)

They now have a dining room.

And a basement.

And they almost didn't have a back patio any more...

Well, it's free publicity... (I think Gina is the only one who realised people could have died here!)
