Lifetime Wishes

At N99 some people have challenged themselves to complete all Lifetime Wishes in the game and get to the top of all possible careers. It sounded like fun, and I thought the Adams Legacy would be a good game to do this in, since I have around 60/70 Sims, so I should be able to get all of them done at some point.

I'm also trying to get every type of death. That is probably going to be difficult - it's really hard to have your Sim die in this game, if you ask me.

I play in rotation - and I already discovered not all wishes work with rotations (some have resetting counters) and not all wishes work in Winchester (I don't want to add supernaturals to the population). So for those parts of the challenge I have to go to other games. But I'm trying to get most of my wishes accomplished here in Winchester.

It's been a while since I played, so I have to play catch-up first. I forgot to cap my population, and all of a sudden everyone wanted to have babies!

Leonard Harrell married Janelle McGovern, one of the twins:

Their first baby is a girl: Sheila Harrell. They actually bought a video camera, and took a lot of videos of her.

Soon after Sheila's birth, they have a son they call Donovan. As is usually the case, they take far fewer videos of Donovan as a toddler than they did of Sheila. The magic of 'learning to walk and talk' has faded just a little...

Susannah Thao fell in love with Bryan Fox, an EA babysitter that I gave a random new look. Could anybody look any nerdier?

They both became young adults around the same time, and went to university together. Bryan wants to be a Major Master and complete three majors.

Susannah wants to be a Renaissance Sim - that's such an easy wish that it's quite boring. But I do want to complete them all...

Susannah discovered the joy of dumpster diving - only she took the 'diving' part a bit too literally, perhaps?

All in all Susannah seems to enjoy the university town experience much more than the lectures. Bryan, on the other hand, is determined to get as many degrees as he can.

Victor Adams is still working on his lifetime wish to become a Hit Movie Composer. All he has to do is play a lot of guitar and get ahead in his job.
(The wishes that just involve getting to a certain level in a certain career are actually quite boring to play...)

In the meantime his nephew Dexter has a second son, Roger (also a redhead).

Pablo Mendez hadn't done much in the game so far. I did put him in a house of his own, but that's about it.

This round, Pablo changed his Lifetime Wish to Gold Digger. He's not a bad sort, but the game had him involved with three women, including Kelsey Harrell.

Pablo also e actually got Stacia McGovern pregnant (another one of those unexpected babies). He now has a son named Raphael McGovern (since he didn't marry Stacia).
Pablo had other plans - Stacia wasn't nearly rich enough to help him get what he wants out of life. Now Kelsey, on the other hand, was the perfect target.

And Kelsey fell for him - hook, line and wedding ring.

He took her to France for a romantic holiday. And he managed to keep a straight face every time his new wife bored the locals with pictures of her grandchild. (Although he felt sure that every time she did that, the local in question would look at him and wonder about the age difference - it was probably pretty obvious what his lifetime goal could be...)

His wedding present to her was two jellybean bushes. He told her they had every flavour, and Kelsey thinks it's fun to eat a few every morning. Sometimes the effect is a bit weird:

But she's sure Pablo wouldn't give her anything that could do her any harm.

In the meantime, all the young adults in town have new and interesting lifetime wishes, while some of the adults are doing well enough that they can probably achieve their goals before they reach retirement age.

Both Harmony (Thao) Bernard and Chen Adams achieved their wishes. Harmony is now a Celebrated 5-Star Chef, and has the fridge to prove it.

And Chen Adams is a Professional Author, making well over §4000 a week in royalties.

In the meantime his wife, Angelina, has reached the top of her sculptor career, but she has a long way to go before she can call herself a Descendant of DaVinci.

Her son Michael Adams doesn't have a lifetime wish yet. He's currently working in the local graveyard, and he seems to like being there.

Melanie Sampson (nee Sommers) wants to be a stylist. Fortunately she can level up with drawing fashion pictures, too:

And when no jobs are offered, she can always re-style the town's official stylist:

He doesn't seem too happy with her efforts, though. :)

The LTW doesn't require her to have a specific number of make-overs, or positive reviews, so it's possible to do it while playing a rotation.

Meanwhile Russell Mendez is working on his wish to become a Grand Master in Chess.

In the meantime, here's a picture of Tom and Samantha Thao. Very romantic together, after all these years... Both of them are now past their 'safe age', so they could die any day.  Samantha has been in my game for a long time - she was born in Fort Sim and left there when she was pregnant with the triplets.

Samantha, Tom and Victor are the last Sims in this legacy who lived in Fort Sim, the town where it all started.
