Daisy's new home - and her new garden

Soon after the move, Elden and Frederick both age up to full adult. There's really no money for a party, or a cake.

(Yes, Elden definitely loves that sweater!)

The next day Jesse becomes a teenager. He's not happy about it - or maybe he's just tired? Anyway, he got his very own bed as a birthday present.

Elden, of course, still has to sleep on the sofa - as far as he's concerned, the new house doesn't really seem to have improved his standard of living...

* * *

Daisy's new garden is huge, and they decide to install sprinklers. Daisy is just too tired to water everything. (Buying more beds would have made sense, but no, Daisy wished for sprinklers...

Frederick soon starts tinkering with the sprinkler, to see whether he can upgrade it. (Even though apparently his previous attempt to upgrade something didn't go to well!)

The family also love their new big dining room - and it's even better when they can finally afford more chairs! The first time they can all have dinner together!

Francesca is still in her work clothes - she's a traffic cop - and Frederick is still singed. Even Daisy is still in her work clothes, including gloves!
I guess 'dressing for dinner' is not their style? But they do enjoy the meal.

The painting on the dining room wall is by Elden. It's worth quite a bit of money, Elden is gaining some fame as a painter *and* a writer. In fact, he sold two similar pictures to pay for the dining room chairs, and a bookcase.

In spite of not having a bed, Bookworm Elden kept getting wishes to buy a bookcase, so I let him...  He bought three of them in a row.
I also let him 'decorate the house with at least 10 paintings'. Somehow his wishes always get in the way of buying him a bed, though.

Other than that, though, the house is looking good.

Francesca is trying to get ahead in her job. She's already bought a chess set to work on her logic. (Another wish that almost everybody in the family seemed to have at that point!)

Anyway, searching for evidence can be a downright filthy job, but it will help her get ahead.

However, sometimes her job can be very uncomfortable and embarassing - like when you scare the inhabitant to death during an interrogation:

In the meantime Samantha has also aged up. She will have to go to bed early after her party - tomorrow's her first schoolday! (The only problem is, there isn't a bed for her - so she sleeps on the sofa while Elden works on his novel... Elden crashes on Daisy's bed as soon as she's off to work.)

Elden is trying out a new style of painting, this is the 'computer-whiz' technique:

And Francesca is promoted to undercover cop. Her first assignment is at the hospital, and she hates the outfit. It's so pink! She wishes it was purple instead. Elden agrees - even lavender would suit her better than this sickly pink!

Samantha is doing well at school. Her grades are good, and she's generally a happy child.

She usually makes her homework in the garden, so that she has time to play with the sprinklers before she has to go to bed. She loves her grandmother's garden!

Before they know it, Samantha, too, becomes a teenager:

She's a bit chubby, with her mother's hairstyle, her father's red hair and her grandmother's eyes. I think she's very pretty... And so do the boys at her school!

In the meantime they have managed to get enough furniture - and even some new plumbing to replace the toilets and sinks they sold earlier.
It's a great relief to have everyone sleeping in a proper bed, even Elden.

Daisy is on her way to play some computergames when she suddenly feels very unwell. She actually faints in the middle of the room:

Everyone comes rushing in, and they fear the worst:

But Daisy had something up her sleeve. She's been harvesting deadflowers and resurrecting the dead plants (since she has a green thumb, she has extraordinary power over plants). So she actually ended up with a few flowers in her inventory. Grim is so happy with the flower that he immediately rushes off to put it in a vase, and forgets to take Daisy.

Everyone is really relieved, although it takes a wile for the shock to wear off for some of them.
Daisy herself takes it in her stride. Once Grim is gone, she goes back to the computer to play a game:

However, this was a wake-up call for Daisy. She finally realises it's time to quit working and enjoy the time she has left. Maybe spend some time with her grandchildren.

  1. Samantha is so precious! I love her red hair and cheeks. *heart*
When you see that house, and how they started in life... wow... o-o

  2. The picture of Fred tinkering outside is so funny. It's as if he's thinking, "Well surely I can handle a SPRINKLER."
