The Wedding

And while Jesse is celebrating his engagement at the Harrell household, Frederick gets his final promotion.

He's so proud to be an astronaut that he refuses to take off his new suit. He even sleeps in it that night.

Frederick and Francesca move out of the huge bedroom on one side of the house to one of the smaller rooms, so Frederick and Corey can have the larger room after the wedding. (They're probably hoping they'll need the extra room for a crib!)

And while they are working on the house anyway, they decide that Daisy should have her own bedroom, instead of sharing with Samantha.

Jesse and Corey make the room their own by chosing some new curtains, a new bedspread and a new sofa. They also buy a larger TV and a video game system:

Jesse and Corey want to have an official wedding, with all the family.

They did invite Elden, but unfortunately he didn't show. Corey's parents were there, though, and Samantha's boyfriend Tom Thao.

The ceremony itself is short, but very moving. The ladies in the room are seen to wipe away a few tears...

The father of the bride throws rice and makes a speech. The mother of the bride (a lot older than her husband) sat at the table talking to the grandmother of the groom (they're about the same age - but that's mainly because Daisy cheated death with her flower).

Francesca looks magnificent in her new formal outfit. And Tom looks a bit lost. He does get a chance to have  a quiet conversation with his prospective brother-in-law - in the garage, of all places.

(It looks like Jesse is telling Tom that a big wedding like this is not a good idea. He's exhausted, and he's sure he'll fall asleep on his wedding night. And besides, it's a total waste of money.)

Frederick and Samantha discuss the catering, and Corey says she's just glad she won't be the one to have to do all the dishes.

At the end of the evening, Frederick has a longer talk with his daughter. He tells her that he really approves of her boyfriend, and Samantha is very happy about that.

So that's the end of the party. And in spite of the groom's misgivings, everyone had a good time, and everyone got stuffed on Turkey and cookies. :)

And he did *not* fall asleep on his wedding night. In fact, he got hardly any sleep at all... :) :)

A few days after the wedding, Frederick invites his brother over for their birthday party. When Elden arrives, his brother salutes him:

They both age up to elder before they have time to go in:

Apparently Frederick thinks his brother looks hilarious with grey hair!

Meanwhile, Corey is already pregnant. They put a crib in the bedroom. Corey is hoping for a girl, but Jesse wants a boy...

Samantha ages into an adult a few days after her father's and uncle's birthday.

They wanted to have a birthday party for her, and in fact, Jesse came home early for it. However, the moment he walks in, Corey goes into labour. Jesse is not exactly useful, so Corey decides to go to the hospital alone.

Before Jesse arrives, she is already out again, carrying their baby son Victor:

Corey hadn't had time to apply for a job yet, so the moment she's home from the hospital, she gets a job in politics. She can start the next day (no maternity leave...)
She goes to see her parents - her father is also a politician, and he's very proud of her.

He might even vote for her:

Elden is back in his own home. This is the jacket photograph for his new series of books:

Daisy is very proud of him, and visits him often.

Meanwhile Francesca also ages up. She is also at a very high level in her career, so she doesn't retire yet. She really wants that last promotion.
It turns out she was right to stick it out - there was a promotion in the air, and the very next day, she gets promoted to International Super Spy.

Once she's reached her goal, she does retire, so she can spend more time with her new grandson:

Frederick also retires. After all, he's reached his goal, he's an astronaut, and he and Francesca can easily live on their pension. Besides, he feels old and tired:

Samantha is waiting for her boyfriend to age up. The house is getting very crowded again, but there is room for one more.
