Friend of China

While I waited for Alistair Kim to age up to toddler, I briefly checked in with Esther and Ernest Thao. They've tried for baby in the past two rounds, so let's see if it's third time lucky for them.

If it doesn't work, there's always the puppies.

(Ernests' LTW is Canine Companion - so far he is friends with his parents' dogs, and now with his own, so he's got 11 more to go.)

Alistair Kim ages up to toddler, and after making sure he's presentable, Alexander and Alexandra are off to China.

Alexander did the whole Dong Ho thing last time, and I'm not sure what resetting the vacation worlds has done to the adventure board. (I do know it didn't affect his visa points, though.)
But anyway, as he's so close to level 3 already, he decides to stick with the simple adventures. And do a lot of digging.

Alexandra goes off in search of monuments to photograph.

They don't do anything worth documenting. It takes Alexander a few commissions - collecting metals, convincing Sims in town to turn their lights off so the young Shang Simla version of Wu Xio can look at the Dragon Cave - to get his last 50 or so visa points.

He manages to complete the two Chinese collections (Zodiac Animals and Vases) and finds two dropa stones and a fu dog for the two international collections.

Alexandra brings home a lot of photographs, ranging in value from 90 to almost 5,500 Simoleons.

And while Alexander spends some quality time with his son, teaching him some skills...

... Alexandra is dealing with another souvenir she brought with her from Shang Simla!!

In the meantime, Bianca does a private reading for Jeannine Harrell - and is surprised that after witnessing the procedure, nobody else wants one!!

She does notice both Jeannine and Lynsay Fox are pregnant. But you don't need to be a psychic to notice that - the awful clothes are a giveaway!!


And Huan Chao performs a few stake-outs, but once again gets stuck 'snooping for clues' - there are no clues to find, and there's nothing to click. (I do wonder whether it's a mod issue, or just bad luck - but every time the 'magnifying glass' is supposed to appear for Huan Chao, nothing happens!)

Huan Chao did somehow manage to complete his Private Investigator career. He's at level 10, in spite of the fact that there's a glitch. He's done it all while inactive...
It does take some of the joy of accomplishment out of it if you don't have to make the effort. :)
