Master Romancer

Buddy McGovern did his aptitude test, and got 6 credits in Technology, which was not something he was interested in. He's in the sports career, and doing really badly.

He was thinking 'business' (because the criminal career appeals to him - make money quickly and without the fuss of having to work hard... or so he thinks...) But in the end he chose 'communications', with a view of going into politics.
He's doing 24 credits this term, so he'll be away for 2 weeks. His mother and sister wave goodbye until the van is out of sight...

And he decides to rent a house. A small, cheap one, but he won't be bothered by roommates getting in the way of his plans.

Because, yes, Buddy is determined to enjoy himself at Uni. He's got a lot of plans, and none of them involve studying. He sells some of the furniture and buys a wardrobe, a better bed, and a shower to replace the tub. (Who wants to woohoo in a tub, right?)
And then he goes out to the java hut, to check out the new students. He soon runs into Ayana Yuki.

"Oh, you're into music? I love music. My dad is a rock star, you know?"

Anyway, she falls for his charms. When he asks her on a date, it's her suggestion to go see a movie. Unfortunately there aren't any at that precise moment, so they just tour the theatre. Twice. Second time around they find a dark corner backstage... Well, you get the point.
I missed the "hearts over the theatre" shot, but they do both 'stride' from the theatre to the first student assembly.

Here Buddy kisses her goodbye. She tells him it was short, but nice, and they should hang out again and do more stuff together. Buddy doesn't even hear her, because he sighted a new quarry.

Her name is Hanna Germanotta, and she's also single, and very interested. Lots of hearts float around when she introduces herself.
She even offers to sketch Buddy. Obviously she's an art student.

"Hey, there's a photobooth, Hanna! Would you like to sketch me nude?"

Oops, looks like they accidentally hit a button - there's a picture coming out. Quickly Buddy destroys the evidence:

After that, he decides that it's time to go home. Hanna, too, says something about "doing more stuff together next time", and Buddy goes back to his house to try out his new radio equipment.

The next morning he goes to class. While up at his house some stray cat destroys his newspapers (Buddy is a slob, so he didn't bother to recycle them), Buddy meets three new girls. One is called Ye Gangnam, which is enough to make Buddy decide that he's NOT that much into her...

The other two are both called Ashley, and they're both cute.

Since there's not much time between classes, Buddy doesn't get very far with either of the Ashleys. But the term has only just started... there's plenty of time...

That night, though, Buddy has a nightmare (i.a.w. something happened, but I accidentally didn't save). He dreams about Ye Gangnam, the girl he rejected for having a stupid name, and in his dream she gets killed by a meteor shower.

In fact, half his class gets killed, including his professor, Billy Jean Sparks.

Grim spends hours running around the building, going from exit to exit.

Paris was saved, because she's unlucky, and Grim never takes unlucky Sims - their many mishaps amuse him so much he wants to enjoy her unlucky life a bit longer.

But all in all about fifteen students die.

And in his dreams Buddy is there for on-the-scene radio coverage!! Although he probably won't get any credit for it, since his professor was among the victims...

That morning he wakes up with a strong wish to resurrect Ye. (He actually did have that wish, but he couldn't pick up her grave - just write an epitaph or mourn...)

Of course Ye is still alive, but this dream has made him take a closer look at the unfortunate girl. He meets her again at Hanna's bonfire party that evening.

"Hey, Ye, I dreamed about you last night!"

Actually, since he was at Hanna's party, and Ayana was there, too, Buddy didn't take any chances - he doesn't want any unpleasant scenes.
So he decides *not* to flirt with Ye in front of his two other romantic interests, and concentrates on the bonfire instead.

(Yes, OF COURSE he had to thrown a herb in it! LOL!!)

Halfway the bonfire party, though, his professor, Billy Jean Sparks, calls to ask him out for a date. And of course Buddy makes his excuses to his hostess, and goes to meet her. After all, she is a professor, he might learn something!!

As a matter of fact, he does learn something. He discovers there are plenty of dark maintenance closets in the School of Science building to engage in some secret woohoo!!

Once again, Buddy has a chance to improve his stride-of-pride.

Funnily enough, he finds a telescope outside the building, and through it he sees a gigantic meteor. It didn't fall on any building, though, so he's able to go over and collect it, without having to witness his nightmare come true.

The thing nets him a little over 2,700 Simoleons. Of course by the time he gets back, Billy Jean is gone... She was last seen streaking around the building, but so fast that I didn't get pictures...

The next day, Buddy meets Billy Jean again, but this time in a different role.

She doesn't make any other effort to get his attention, or contact him, so he feels free to forget what happened between them. (She remains one of his 'romantic interests' for a while, though...)

That afternoon Buddy receives a love letter from Ye, saying she didn't know how to tell him, but she thought he was really attractive...

So at the next party at Hanna's house, Buddy decides to take his chances. And before he knows it, Ye has invited him upstairs:

Of course it's inevitable that Hanna finds out. And Buddy discovers another one of Hanna's traits. She may be a 'hopeless romantic' (which he knew) but she's also very mean-spirited (which he soon experiences first-hand).

Buddy complains about his aches and pains to Hanna's roommate Shannon, but Shannon seems to take Hanna's side in this.

And Ayana seems to be sad, more than anything.

So when he gets home, Buddy sends Ayana a friendly text, just to cheer her up. Strangely enough, it does! That girl must be REALLY into him.

The next day is exams day, and Buddy is really tired even before classes begin. He eats some wonderpetal, hoping that it will help him get good grades. It seems to help, but after school he is so exhausted he passes out in front of the building!

So he picks himself up, goes home and then goes to bed... Ye did invite him to another bonfire party, but he decides to give it a miss. Besides, Hanna is probably going to be there, too, and he's too tired for another fight. (Not to mention the fact that he doesn't want to be beaten up by a girl again!!)

He feels really bad, so he decides to stay in for the evening, nursing his cold.

The next morning he wakes up to find not only the mailman, but also a fellow student called Walter on his front lawn.

It turns out that Walter is really attracted to Buddy as well... Buddy tentatively tries a bit of flirting, and it doesn't take long before they end up taking a shower together.

So that takes care of Buddy's Lifetime Wish of becoming a Master Romancer.

Now he'll have to decide what to do in his second week of the term. The girl he seems to like best is A
yana - at least she's the one he has romantic wishes about... So maybe he should concentrate on her, and leave the others?

On the other hand, there's both of the Ashleys, and this jock girl Tammy Parker who seems to like him a lot and sends him love letters, too... And then there's Walter...

As it turns out, Walter decides a few days later that he wants to be just friends, and has no interest in fixing their relationship.
And his relationship with Ye has taken a hit because he didn't go to either of her parties. And Billy Jean has been seen kissing another student...

So Buddy spends the next week of his term just hanging out with Ayana.

He's discovered an interest in his studies (much to my surprise, he autonomously studies from his book every time he sits down!) which doesn't leave much time for a social life this term. So in spite of letters from girls like Paris, Samantha, and even Hanna's roommate Shannon, he doesn't go on any more dates. He just stays home, alone or with Ayana, and studies.

Soon enough his term comes to an end. He's halfway his studies now, and he doesn't seem to be happy about leaving.

Maybe he'll feel better if he can invite Ayana to meet his parents? She seemed to like the idea of Trevor being a rock star...

Anyway, he'll have to wait...
