First Wedding at New City Hall

Ernest Thao and Edith Atkins are the first Sims to get married at the new City Hall. They invite a lot of guests, but since nobody in the family is considered a 'good host', most of the guests don't show up. How rude!!

The bride and groom don't care, though. They only have eyes for each other.

They exchange rings at the wedding arch, while the family looks on and cries, swoons or claps - whatever they feel is appropriate.

They have a party in the basement bar, and everyone has a good time.

For some reason half the males in Winchester have the exact same recolour of the same formal outfit. I think it's time some of them saw their stylist! (Timothy did change his scarf, on the sly, while he was going to the restroom - that's one down, four or five to go. At least!)

For now, let's just assume that this suit was on sale and they bought it in bulk! :)

Everyone agrees, though, that Esther is a beautiful bride.

(She, too, needs to see the stylist, or she'll be walking around in her wedding gown for the rest of her life... I think this dress would look cute in a soft green...)

In other news: Celestine Younger has started highschool. Her birthday present, of course, was a whole new wardrobe.

Margaret McGovern aged up as well. She was walking around town in a horrible outfit, so she got arrested by the fashion police and sent to the stylist.

Nothing else going on in the Younger family, so it was a short visit. I'm still not happy about their home, so I'll be replacing it with another one. I have a lot of houses saved from the previous versions of Winchester...

In the town itself, the school house has been moved. Or rather, the old schoolhouse from the first version of Winchester is now where the cemetery is in the new version. The cemetery and church are where the horse ranch used to be. The horse ranch is where the junkyard was before, and the junkyard has been moved to the beach...
Miraculously, all the Sims in town know exactly where everything is, though, even after all the shuffling.

(For some reason I usually prefer the buildings from the original (WA/AMB) version of Winchester. Maybe because that's where I started playing? I still miss the houses on the cliffsides... Not enough to take the world into CAW and put the cliffs back, though...)

So that concludes another round. Nothing much was accomplished with liftime wishes and careers, except that Gillian McGovern reached level 10 of the Alchemy profession.
