He does have the weekend off, though, so there's little for him to do about his career.
His boat is also perfect the way it is. He just doesn't like the location so he decides to change ports:
Other than that, he can't do much. He should have a better relationship with his 'boss', but as he's the only politician on the island at the moment, there is no boss to suck up to!!

In the retirement home across town, Jake Sommers died of old age.
Francois Lambert lived with the Sommers family until Jeanienne had twins - then the house was really too full. So is the retirement home, though. Francois is stuck with a Murphy bed on the upstairs landing, which is not an ideal situation.
Incidentally, Christopher's mother (Terra (Thao) Sommers) also sleeps on a Murphy bed. All five bedrooms are taken up by married couples.

The Sommers twins, Eric and Eliza, have now aged up to toddlers. Here they are watching television with their parents.
Eric has his grandmother Terra's red hair. Which of course ultimately is the hair of the Adams family founder, David.
There's just no getting away from that particular shade of red!
And this round, Christopher decides to check out the new hospital. It offers a number of interesting ways for him to work on his science knowledge, too.
Celeste Younger brought her son Darin to work today, and Christopher thinks he's a perfect guinea pig for his latest DNA experiment. (He's a gene therapist):
He also experiments with the science equipment - but he doesn't clone anyone, although it seems tempting.
Jeanienne wants to be a Creature-Robot Cross-Breeder. Which is level 9 of the Science career. She's now at level 3, and she's some thirty-odd years younger than her husband, so she has plenty of time to get there.
Christopher does manage to max the science skill. Gene Therapist is level 7 of his medical career, so he has a way to go there.
